Hiker Finds Murdered Motorcyclist in Santa Cruz Mountains Saturday

Santa Cruz Sheriff's Deputies are looking into the murder of Eric Dean Garcia, 32, reported missing Sept. 20, 2012 and found Oct. 13.

A hiker reported finding a body in the Santa Cruz Mountains Saturday and after an autopsy, Santa Cruz Sheriff's deputies are calling it a murder.

They say Eric Dean Garcia, 32, of San Jose, was reported missing Sept. 20, 2012. They have released no details about the cause of death.

Deputies are looking for information about Garcia's motorcycle, a 1985 Harly Davidson Model FLT with California license 18W5272.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (831) 471-1121.

According to fugitive.com, Garcia, also known as "Pee-Ka" was called away from a party at 11:45 p.m. Sept. 18, at Vine and Goodyear streets and left on his motorcycle.

He told friends he would be right back. At the time, San Jose police officer Albert Morales was quoted as saying that police believed no foul play was involved.

There was a vigil Oct. 2 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in San Jose for Garcia, who had ties to motorcycle gangs, according to this article also at Fugitive.com.

Garcia was described as Garcia is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 350 pounds, with a Harley Davidson symbol tattooed on the back of his head.
