Pair of Early Morning Robberies Sunday
Apparently the same men, armed with a gun and knife, committed two robberies after midnight.
Santa Cruz police reported that four youths were victims of two armed robberies at 12:37 and 1 a.m. Sunday.
The first occurred at Fair Avenue and the railroad tracks, when two suspects pulled a gun on two victims and demanded money and cellphones.
The youths called police a short time later, and officers responded with dogs and searched the area. At 1 a.m., the same duo apparently robbed two more people at High and Storey streets. Those victims didn't call police until 2:37 a.m.
