Parolee who Robbed Live Oak Woman Jailed

Franky Vultaggio lived only one block from his victim.

A parolee has been arrested for robbing a local Live Oak woman at gunpoint earlier this month.

Franky Vultaggio, 20, is now in Santa Cruz Jail on robbery charges. He lived on the 1000 block of 30th Avenue, only one block from where the woman was robbed.

The robbery occurred on April 9, when a 32-year-old woman reported she was robbed in the 3000 block of Roland Drive, according to the Santa Cruz Sherriff’s Department.  The woman recounted being approached by a man donning dark clothing and a face covering. The man pointed a gun to her face, she reported, and demanded her purse, which contained a wallet and cell phone.

Police did not find the suspect until Wednesday when deputees and parolees conducted a search of the parolee’s home. The Santa Cruz Deputy found both items that belonged to the victim, as well as drug paraphenelia. Still, the weapon from the robbery has not been recovered.

The Sherriff department has asked anyone with information to call the investigations division 454-2311 or the anonymous tip line at 454-5995.
