Several individuals were cited for being under the influence of controlled substances and one man was cited for writing a fictitious check, yesterday.
Tuesday
4:39 a.m. - a 23-year-old man was cited for a DUI, testing positive for a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription at Water St. and Soquel Ave.

Monday
7:17 p.m. - a 23-year-old individual was cited for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle and syringe and paraphernalia possession at 137 Dakota Ave.

6:30 p.m. - a 52-year-old man was cited and released for burglary in the second degree and theft around the area of Pacific and Front St.
4:34 p.m. - A 33-year-old man was cited for making a fictitious check and testing positive for a controlled substance without a prescription at the 802 block of Pacific Ave.
2:31 p.m. - A man was cited and released for being under the influence of a controlled substance at 7768 W Zayante Dr.
2:43 p.m. - A 22-year-old Santa Cruz man was arrested for forgery, burglary in the first degree and probation violation at 630 Main St. in Watsonville.
2:23 p.m. - A 21-year-old man was cited and released for petty theft at 2203 Mission St.
