A call from an alert neighbor helped police find a 22-year-old man they say was breaking into a home on the 200 block of Chace Street.
They arrested Ryan Sargenti, of Felton, in the neighborhood, even though he had gone to his car and changed clothes while fleeing.
Police said Sargenti has a long history of contacts with police. He was driving a 2000 Saab Q-23.
Deputy Chief Steve Clark said Sargenti was spotted by a neighbor taking the screen off a home and wiping his fingerprints from the window. The neighbor confronted him and he ran away. He was later positively identified as the suspected thief.
