Probation Search Nets Drugs, Gun on Dufour Street in Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies conducting a probation search on Thursday found a gun, marijuana and methamphetamine, according to sheriff's officials.

The deputies were searching the home of 20-year-old Andrew Tennyson in the 300 block of Dufour Street.

They found a loaded 9mm handgun, a pound-and-a-half of marijuana, and a small amount of methamphetamine, sheriff's officials said.

Tennyson was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of over an ounce of marijuana illegally, possession of methamphetamine and a probation violation, sheriff's officials said.
