Retired Police Sergeant Tours Country with Memorial to Santa Cruz's Fallen Officers

Sgt. Dave Perry, a former Marine and a pretty quiet guy, stepped out after he retired this summer and toured the country with a rolling tribute to slain officers Butch Baker and Elizabeth Butler, who were slain in February by a madman.

Perry was one of the first responders on the scene and in his actions assigning an officer to guard the suspect's house, while emergency workers were trying to save the two officers, saved other lives when the killer came back.

See the pictures of Perry's travels above.

He'll return to police headquarters Thursday at 11 a.m. to talk about the trip.
