Santa Cruz Arson Suspect Arrested in Southern Cal

He was captured the same evening he was added to the 'most wanted' list.

An arson suspect on Santa Cruz County's "most wanted" list has been arrested in Chatsworth, in Southern California, authorities said Wednesday.

Paul Robert Wilcox, 38, was sought for starting a fire at Natural Bridges State Beach in July, according to the San Jose Mercury News. A transient, he was added to the "most wanted" list on Aug. 18, the same evening he was arrested in Chatsworth, Cal Fire Battalion Chief Jake Dellamonica of Santa Cruz County told the Mercury News.

In a 2010 interview with the Santa Cruz Sentinel, Wilcox said he was "an actor in Los Angeles who also had a close brush with a convicted child molester in Santa Cruz."
