UPDATE: Man, 57, Found Stabbed in Driveway; Police Talking to 'Person of Interest'

A man was found stabbed to death outside his Santa Cruz home this morning, Santa Cruz police said.

Around 7 a.m. police responded to a report of a person lying in the driveway of a home in the 200 block of Cypress Avenue, about two blocks north of Seabright State Beach, according to police.

Arriving officers found a 57-year-old man dead in the driveway of his home. He had suffered multiple stab wounds and appeared to have been in a struggle before the stabbing, according to police.

Investigators found multiple knives in the area, which were collected as evidence, police said.

A person of interest was found on the property and detectives have been interviewing that person today.

More searches are being conducted at the home and in the area tofind more evidence, police said.
