Santa Cruz Police Seek 'Coward' Who Robbed 68-Year-Old Woman

This thug knocked down a 68-year-old woman and took her purse.

Santa Cruz Police are asking for help identifying a man and his friends who stole a purse from a 68-year-old woman at the Morrissey Safeway Saturday at 2:10 p.m.

Here are some details from the SCPD blog:

We say coward, because there's not many other "family-friendly" ways to describe he and his friends who robbed a 68 year old woman outside the Safeway store on Morrissey Blvd.

The robbery happened on Saturday afternoon at around 2:10 PM.  The suspect pushed the woman and stole her purse.  He fled to a car driven by his friends waiting on the north side of the store.

The car is described as a red small car similar to a Honda Accord or Civic.  The car had large white letters on the back window spelling

“INDOW TINT”….that’s not a type-o.  It’s like “window” without the “w”.

Our main suspect is described as

Hispanic Male – late teens, early twenties
Red hoodie sweatshirt with some kind of white logo – jeans.

He was in the company of these two.

The two accomplices are also described as Hispanic males – late teens, early twenties.  They are described as wearing:

#1 – wearing a white sweatshirt, blue or black jeans and a green and white beanie

#2 - wearing a brown sweatshirt and blue or black jeans
