Santa Cruz Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Man for Counterfeiting

Benjamin Espinosa, 48, reportedly had thousands of homemade bills.

Santa Cruz Sheriff's Deputies arrested a 48-year-old man for possessing counterfeiting equipment and counterfeit bills Tuesday.

Benjamin Espinosa, 48, was arrested during a probation search on the 100 block of Coloma Street. Deputies found machines to make money and thousands of $20s, $50s and $100s.

Also arrested was Cindy Peterson, 44, who was in the home and allegedly under the influence and in possession of methamphetamine.
