SCPD Nails Three Alleged Burglars in One Night

A skateboard, a racing bike, burglar tools and meth. Welcome to a night in Santa Cruz. 

Police arrested three people overnight Thursday on suspicion of burglary or intent of burglary.

At 2:10 a.m. neighbors near Water and Market streets called to complain about a man checking car door handles. Patrol officers arrived and found Noah Crisp, 39, hiding in the bushes with bolt cutters and a red laser pen light – burglar's tools. He is on probation for a past thefts and burglaries.

At 4:45 a.m. the newest member of the Santa Cruz Police Department, Nick Kramer, was called to Laurel and Chestnut streets where a man was creating a disturbance. Kramer found Brian Erdelyi, 22, with a lock pick and a meth pipe. 

He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail. He's already got a long string of arrests for drugs, police said.

At 7:15 a.m. neighbors called to report a suspicious person on National Street. Officers found Edmidio Anderson, 31, with a skateboard that had been reported stolen the previous day, a Peugeot racing bicycle serial number 
# Y00237217 (see photo), and burglary tools.
