Search and Rescue Team Joins Social Media
"Like" the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team on Facebook.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team launched a new Facebook page this week.
The aim of the page is to expand communication with the community during search missions, according to Lt. Steve Carney of the Sheriff's Office.
Via social media, the team will be able to provide ongoing updates to the media, family members and the community about active search missions. Links, photographs and stories about the history and future of the SAR Team will also be posted periodically.
