Shooting Victim Found on Watsonville Front Porch

A man was injured in a shooting on the front porch of a Watsonville home Friday afternoon, police said.

According to Watsonville police, officers responded to a report of a fight near Marchant and Elm streets at about 4:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, police discovered the victim, who had been shot several times in the abdomen, on the front porch.

The victim was uncooperative with police and would not give officers any details on the suspect or suspects.

Due to the severity of his injuries, the victim was flown to the Bay Area Trauma Center for treatment. The victim's condition has not been released.

Witnesses in the area told police they saw several males running from the general vicinity of the shooting.
