Shots Fired Into Apartment; No one Hurt

Shots were fired early Thursday.

  A shot was fired into an apartment in Santa Cruz early Thursday
morning, according to police.
       The shooting was reported around 1:45 a.m. Thursday but occurred about a half-hour earlier in the 100 block of Bixby Street, police said.
       Officers arrived to find that a bullet had penetrated the kitchen area of an apartment and lodged in a cabinet. Witnesses reported hearing a loud argument between several male suspects before the shot was fired, according to police.
       The suspects, all who wore black hooded sweatshirts, fled in
separate directions and a black mid-sized sedan was seen fleeing south on Bixby Street, police said.
       No one was injured in the shooting.
