Sign-Ups Underway for Summer 'Teen Police Academy'

The Santa Cruz Police Department Teen Public Safety Academy is taking sign-ups for its three summer sessions. Spaces fill up quickly.....so sign up now!

The week includes: 
  • Daily Physical Fitness
  • Arrest and Control Tactics
  • Investigations
  • Crime Scenes and Evidence Processing
  • High Risk Car Stops
  • Firefighting Principals
  • Emergency Medical Treatment
  • First Aid and CPR
Cost is $40 per teen, and includes lunches and a T-shirt.  

Session are limited to 20 students each session. Dates are:
  • July 7 - 11
  • July 21 - 25
  • August 4 - 8
Sessions run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, beginning at the Police Department Community Room.
