Swerving Driver Arrested on way to Boardwalk After Stop at Marijuana Dispensary

In the car with him was a 20-year-old woman and 18-month-old baby.

A man who was on his way to the Boardwalk after stopping at a marijuana dispensary was arrested on Highway 1 Monday for driving under the influence of marijuana, child endangerment and smoking in a vehicle.

Juan Carlos Aguilera, 22, of Soledad was swerving in a silver 2002 Lincoln with tinted windows, when a California Highway Patol motorcycle officer spotted him smoking a joint.

Aguilera told the CHP that he visited a dispensary in Santa Cruz before the stop and was heading to the Boardwalk.

The Soledad man was already on probation for a previous DUI, according to the CHP.
