The costs of enforcing these repressive measures so far outstrips the costs of repairing the damages and injuries caused by illegal fireworks and illegal alcohol consumption(remember, we're not talking about anti-social behaviors caused by alcohol or fireworks, but the alcohol itself) as to defy reason. Why not just ban all public gatherings, like they do in Egypt and China, to make the police job of identifying criminals easier by making everyone a criminal?
