Two Arrested in Burglary at O'Neill's Downtown Thursday

Santa Cruz Sheriff's Deputies, filling in for Santa Cruz Police, arrested two men after witnesses called 911.

Santa Cruz Sheriff's Deputies arrested two men for allegedly smashing the front window of O'Neill's Surf Shop downtown and stealing skateboards. 

The 12:47 a.m. theft was seen by witnesses who called 911. Deputies found two men hiding behind cars at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. They found skateboards in a flowerbed near O'Neills.

They also found surveillance video of the two men, Harley Dean, 19 and Daniel Hark, 25.

Santa Cruz Police have two days off work after two officers were shot Tuesday and other law enforcement agencies are helping out.

A window at O'Neill's was smashed last month and boards were also stolen.
