Two Transients Arrested for Methamphetamine at Branciforte Creek Path

Police were patrolling the pathway in response to neighbors' complaints about drug deals.

Santa Cruz Police arrested Donald Roberts, 27 and Nicolas Byrdhunt, 25, for allegedly carrying drugs and paraphernalia Saturday on the Branciforte Creek trail by Market Street.

Roberts was said to have 28 grams of meth on him when police contacted him. Both men were on probation for narcotics violations.

Byrdhunt reportedly also had meth, but a much smaller amount. Roberts was booked on suspicion of dealing drugs while Byrdhunt was booked on possession.
