UCSC Police are Looking for a Purse Thief

Someone stole a woman's credit card from the McHenry Library and then tried to use it at New Leaf Market.

UC Santa Cruz police say that a student who left her purse on a library desk while she went to the restroom was the victim of a theft on May 22.

A credit card from her purse was used later at New Leaf Community Market.

Police are asking for help in identifying the woman in the picture to the right, the one in the hat, as a suspect. They say there may have been a man with her in the library, in his 40s.
