Woman Injured at Highway 1 and River Street Monday

The accident tied up traffic for an hour, but luckily, the injuries weren't life-threatening.

A 44-year-old woman was waiting at the light on River Street when her SUV was struck by a 51-year-old man speeding through the turn, according to Santa Cruz Police.

Police used the Nixle system to warn drivers of the tie-ups during the accident investigation.
