Woman Rescued After Jump Off Of Wharf

Firefighters rescue a woman after she jumped off the Santa Cruz Wharf on Saturday afternoon.

 

Santa Cruz firefighters rescued a woman who had jumped off the Santa Cruz Wharf on Saturday afternoon.

The woman's jump was reported around 5:20 p.m. near Stagnaro's restaurant, according to Battalion Chief Mike Venezio.

Fire crews arriving on the scene found the woman under the wharf, where she was beginning to take off her clothes, Venezio said.

A Harbor Patrol boat was able to get the woman into the boat. The woman was uninjured, and Santa Cruz police took her in for evaluation.
