Pam Comstock's campaign event Friday was like none in recent memory.
Held on top of the Rittenhouse building, it featured singer Chris Rene, Cruz Matik, featuring former New York Giant Reggie Stephens and Jason Williams, and Ribsy's Nickel, which also features Williams singing.
"This raises the bar higher than ever," said City Councilman David Terrazas.
The show cost $35 in donations to Comstock's campaign. Comstock, who works for the software company that makes Auto-Tune, is running for the first time. She was a founder of the neighborhood group Take Back Santa Cruz, which has worked to represent families and safe neighborhoods.
Her husband, Craig, a movie assistant director, helped organize this benefit.
