Climate Action Strategy Meeting

What are your ideas for responding to climate change in Santa Cruz? You are invited to a community meeting on the Draft Climate Action Strategy for Santa Cruz County. Californians are already experiencing impacts from climate change, and a wide variety of environmental and economic impacts from global climate change will likely be felt with increasing magnitude in the future as the concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere continues to rise.  The Draft Climate Action Strategy (available online) reports the results of the GHG emissions inventory for Santa Cruz County, proposes targets for emissions reduction, and outlines strategies to reduce our emissions. The Draft Climate Action Strategy also addresses adaptation to climate change and identifies next steps for increasing the resilience of our community. Please bring your feedback and ideas for responding to climate change.
