Halloween Street Closures Start Early; Cars Will Be Towed and Fines Tripled

Don't expect to drive and park on Pacific Avenue after 10 a.m. Monday.

Here are the downtown street closures for Halloween:

▪ Pacific Avenue between Laurel Street and Water Street will be closed between 10 a.m. October 31 and 10 a.m. November 1.

 ▪ Front Street between Laurel Street and Soquel Avenue will be closed between 5 p.m. October 31 and 3 a.m. November 1.

 ▪ Front Street between Water Street and River Street will be closed between 5 p.m. October 31 and 3 a.m. November 1.

 ▪ Most feeder streets to Pacific Avenue will be closed between 10 a.m. October 31 and 10 a.m. November 1 (however parking garages will be open).

 ▪ All of the closed streets will be deemed No Parking/Tow Away zones, vehicles may be towed effective 10:00 a.m.

Fines will also be tripled around downtown for such things as alcohol violations, DUI, and creating a public disturbance.
