New Year, New Library Hours

Santa Cruz Public Libraries will add 61 hours a week throughout the county.

The Santa Cruz Public Libraries will expand hours at its 10 branches starting Tuesday.

Countywide, 61 hours per week have been added, for a total of 338 open hours per week, according to Janis O'Driscoll, division manager for the libraries.

At the downtown branch, at 224 Church St., hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Bookmarks with new hours are available at each branch, and the new hours are found on the library's website

All the branches are closed Monday and Tuesday for the New Year's holiday.
