One-Way/Two-Way Advisory Commissions to Meet Nov. 3

The Santa Cruz City Council will use information from these commissions at its next meeting Nov. 8.

The two commissions charged with weighing whether Pacific Avenue should be one-way or two-way will meet November 3 in the City Council Chambers from 7-10 p.m.

The joint meeting of the Transportation and Public Works Commission and the Downtown Commission will discuss a proposal by the Downtown Association for Two-Way Traffic on Pacific Avenue and to formulate recommendations for the City Council's consideration at its November 8 meeting.

Proponents say the change to two way for the blocks between Church and Cathcart streets will eliminate confusion and bring in more shoppers.
