June 23, 2013: Capricorn Full Moon: WHAT DO YOU KNOW?

In the last few weeks we have the ex-CIA Spy pitted against the Military Industrial Spy Complex: the NSA. Mirrors and projections run amok. Would this be the classic double cross? Or Treason? Or was this individual someone who felt he needed to speak out (witnessed) about the gross destruction of US citizen’s Right To Privacy, by the United States Government?

Who is double-crossing who in this scenario?

This particular event relates to the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square addressed in the May 20, 2013 post. Currently, Pluto is filtering the Rays of Capricorn. The energy of Capricorn (Cardinal-Earth) is associated with established structures, status quo, government power and authority. And wherever transiting Pluto is found, there is massive reform. Pluto rules the sign of Scorpio and thus brings to light what has lived in the shadow. Scorpio in an exceptionally transformational energy when utilized at its highest level. And now with Scorpionic undertones, Pluto in Capricorn brings up the dark matter of government abuse of power, and forces us to confront that which is no longer conducive to our country’s soul evolution or collective consciousness.

This dark Plutonian energy is in a square (obstacles, tension) with our unpredictable friend Uranus who is traversing the sign of Aries (Cardinal-Fire); Aries is associated with the planet Mars, and Uranus filtering the Rays of Aries thus instigates action and unexpected events. These unexpected actions also bring unpredictable consequences. It is unclear as to whether Mr. Snowden (who has recently completed his first Saturn Return), would have expected to be called a traitor; for a whistleblower and a traitor are two very different things indeed.

Or perhaps after all he witnessed, he fully expected repercussions of this magnitude.

In any event, Mr. Snowden, was compelled by the need to bring to light what he perceived as illegal, covert actions perpetuated by our government.

To further help put these events in context, we look to the heavens and the current energies in play, which overlay the long-term effects of the Pluto/Uranus square. There is much activity in the celestial realm this week; the Summer Solstice on June 20, followed closely by the Full Moon in Capricorn on June 23 will continue to shine light upon the issue of the US government spying on its citizens. Certainly this is not a new concept in our world, but an act, at least in the US considered to be a serious violation of our right to privacy. And although through the years this has surely happened before, the scale of this particular incident is significant.

These two symbols for the Sun and Moon at this Full Moon Opposition speak to Mr. Snowden’s situation with astonishing accuracy. Although one lone individual, he is manifesting the archetypal energy represented by these two Sabian Symbols.

Has Mr. Snowden chosen his Spiritual North or was his motivation more narcissistic in nature, a display of the power of gathering and using information illegally, the very thing he claims to be standing up against? On the surface it would appear he was willing to sacrifice much for what he perceived as RIGHT ACTION. Did he take action according to the law of his conscience? Or is he a criminal? And in what other way could he have shed light on this extremely questionable practice of the NSA? Would it have even been possible?

And perhaps the bigger question we need to ask ourselves, how many of our rights are we willing to give up for a secure and safe society? And does such a thing really exist?

Cancer and Capricorn are associated with the Gate(s) Into and Out of Our World. They are Cardinal Signs, meaning they have an initiating quality, this energy lends itself to setting events in motion. What has been set in motion in light of these events? Cancer (Cardinal-Water) represents Security, and Capricorn (Cardinal-Earth) represents the structures of safety.

This Full Moon asks the question; what freedoms are we willing to sacrifice for our safety and security? 

This debate continues as the erosion of privacy persists since 9/11.

This lunation also supports our reflection and action on following our own True North, and that standing up for what we believe in, in the face of true adversity, leads to the expansion of consciousness for all. When one person raises his/her awareness, collective consciousness is raised as well.

Transit Mars continues to Filter the Rays of Gemini, and is certainly instigating much communication, about communication.

Mercury and Venus continue to filter the Rays of Cancer, the issue of feeling safe is very much on our minds.

Black Moon Lilith occupies the Cardinal point in Cancer and is very close to the Sun at this lunation. The Black Moon is no stranger to what lies beneath, and further supports investigation into covert operations, as well as themes of abuse of power.

On June 26, the day of Mercury’s Station Retrograde, the Sun will traverse the 5-6th degree of Cancer and activate a Grand Water Trine, with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. Emotions will run high on this day, the energy will flow between these three planets, and the Aquarian Moon will bring calls for Justice and Fairness from the people. This day will be significant as the US Chart has the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Aquarius.

The principles of Justice, and Freedom from Tyranny found in the Declaration of Independence will echo on this day.
