Cabrillo Graduates Record Class

Most students finished with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Cabrillo College's largest graduating class in five years had its biggest .

Degrees and certificates were conferred on 1,076 students: 643 AA degrees, 391 AS degrees, 234 certificates of achievement and 255 skills certificates.

The Santa Cruz County class of 2012 graduates range from age 19 to 75 years old, with an average age of 29. The male-female ratio is 36 percent men, 64 percent women.

Among the graduates, 78 have perfect 4.0 GPAs. This year, almost all of the graduates have a 3.0 GPA or higher: 221 students will graduate with high honors (3.75-3.99 GPA), 280 with honors (3.5-3.74 GPA) and 602 with honorable mentions (3.0-3.49 GPA).

Twenty-six graduates are in the Honors Transfer Program, which means they have completed all of the coursework required to transfer, including at least 15 unites of honors classes, while maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher. These students are going on to four-year universities, including UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz and the University of Southern California.
