Beginning Cheese Making Demo

Cheese making is one of the oldest and most important culinary traditions, shared the world over—so why not learn how to do it your self? This demonstration will teach you the basics of soft cheese making, including sanitation, preparation of ingredients, equipment, and helpful techniques. You will learn how to produce a variety of soft cheeses, including chèvre, ricotta, fromage blanc, then work up to mozzarella and feta. You’ll see how to produce high quality soft cheeses right out of your own kitchen.

Of Course I Can Preserving Workshops
Want to learn how to turn that flat of strawberries into jam? Try your hand at making cheese, yogurt or kefir? Make your own sauerkraut? Pickle those baby cucumbers or beans? Come enjoy the monthly workshops about cheese making, preserving, pickling, and canning at the Aptos Farmers Market, hosted and sponsored by Mountain Feed and Farm Supply! Not only will you learn about food preservation that our grandparents took for granted, you will be able to pick up all the supplies you need!
