Couples workshop for Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

Survivors Healing Center’s (SHC) primary goals are to empower those victimized by sexual abuse through a healing process and to prevent sexual abuse of children and youth in our community. In this group couples will find a safe, nurturing place to examine the unique and not so unique challenges they face due to one or both partners having  survived childhood sexual abuse.  We will focus on such issues as communication, management of fears and reactions, intimacy, giving and receiving support, facing pain and cultivating joy. The intention for the day is to help to strengthen the individual’s and the couples growth and vitality.  This workshop is open to straight and gay couples and is limited to ten couples.  The workshop will be held on May 28, 2011 from 10 AM till 4 PM.

Please contact Survivors Healing Center for more information about signing up for this workshop at (831)423-7601.
