It's a Wrap: A Brief History of the Santa Cruz County Paper Industry and its Paper Arts Movement

Art and history intersect in this Museum of Art and History talk which traces the history of paper as an art form and as an industry. Exhibiting artist Peter Thomas speaks about the contributions Santa Cruz artists made to the international paper arts movement. Local historian Sandy Lydon puts the Santa Cruz Paper Mills of San Lorenzo Valley, Soquel and Corralitos in historical context with focus on the wrapping paper industry and a rare display of local paper artifacts, photos and maps.
