Water Smart Gardening

Do you want to know more about getting the most out of every drop of water in your garden? Vai Campbell, from the Soquel Creek Water District will provide a digital tour of the new website, Water-Smart Gardening in Santa Cruz County. The website includes locally photographed images of successful and drought-tolerant gardens, as well as extensive information about best practices for environmentally-friendly gardening and landscaping. The multi-layer plant search tool helps you find the right plant for the place. The plant details provide full color photos and information about the plants and can be organized in a list by hydro-zones so you can group plants with similar water needs. The new website is available on-line as well as on compact discs (CD), free copies and other goodies will be available. Ages 16 and up. Sign up in advance by calling 831-335-9348.
