Workshop: Salads and Sprouts

Kathy Cummins is a Santa Cruz chef who specializes in the healthy applications and therapeutic exploration of whole foods.  She has been the senior instructor at Bauman College’s Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts department for over ten years.  Chef Kathy will teach us how we can use sprouted seeds and legumes to make delicious, seasonal, and easy salads.  Sprouts are rich in digestible energy, bio-available vitamins, minerals, amino acids, proteins, and phytochemicals – all nutrients that are essential for human health.  In addition to sharing her treasured recipes with us, Chef Kathy will teach us all about the nutritional benefits of sprouts and healthy salads.  Learn why these “germinated vitamins” are the darlings of whole foods professionals everywhere and empower your body, mind, and kitchen with these new culinary skills.
