Slide Show: Bay View Elementary School Spent Saturday Going Green

Kids learned to green up their school.

Bay View Elementary School parents, teachers and kids spent the day Saturday Greening up their school. 

They removed shrubs, trees and lawn by the front entrance and replaced it with drought-resistant plants.

They prepared bins for products that could be "up-cycled," that is used to make other products by a company called TerraCycle. 

And they got their teachers removed from junk mail lists.
