7th Annual SKEuro BBQ and Food Drive at Harvey West Park, December 16th.

SK Euro announces 7th annual Harvey West potluck BBQ and food drive, benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank. Last years event drew 120 cars and generated over fifteen hundred meals for hungry bellies.

On behalf of SKEuro Car Club, I’d like to announce our 7th annual Harvey West potluck BBQ and food drive, benefiting The Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County.

Last year’s event saw 120 cars in attendance ranging from ancient Volvos to brand new BMWs and yielded 1,574 meals worth of donations!

This year we will be joining the food bank in their Set a Plate for Kate campaign.

“I always enjoy the energy and positivity that SKE and their event bring to the table”, Said Bly Morales, Senior Manager of Events & Food Drives at Second Harvest.

The event is centered around European cars, but we sure as heck ain’t gonna turn down anyone with a side of ribs and a couple a' cans for our friends down at the food bank if ya’ catch my drift.

Spectators and looky-loos welcome. No registration required, we’re too dern busy polishing our wheels and topping off our blinker fluid to mess around with such nonsense.

About us:
SKEuro was founded in mid 2008 by former president Hector Rodriguez and a small group of Volkswagen enthusiasts living in Watsonville California that held meets after work in a strip mall parking lot. But when the club details were posted on VWvortex.com in January of 2009, it quickly grew to include members from as far as San Jose, Monterey, and Hollister driving a variety of European makes and models. Soon after, the club began to expand with chapters in Colorado, Nevada, and Mexico.

We make it a point to give back to our local communities by hosting and participating in a wide variety of charity events throughout the year. At SKE it's people first - cars second. The cars are what bring us together, but ultimately it's the people and the fellowship that keep us coming back.

If you go:
Noon, Sunday, December 16th at Harvey West Park in Santa Cruz, rain or shine. Bring donations for the food bank and grub for the potluck BBQ. Kids, dogs, bikes, skateboards, moon shoes, beach balls, pogo sticks, and other such nonsense welcome.

Don’t be shy now!

-Salty

I like the sound of James' new music and believe he has shown significant growth between his debutRead More album and his second. But to say he was "the real winner of his season of 'American Idol'" is disingenuous. He faltered down the stretch compared to the other finalists.

He is such an attractive and lovely young man, tho I am old enough to be his grandmother I stillRead More feel so passionate about James Durbin and his sexy hair and rock music. Makes me feel young again!

This show was exceptional, James is a natural on stage and shines with the brightest stars. I amRead More proud to say I was hooked and reeled in from the first notes sang during Idol auditions. As a life long lover of a variety of music I can safely say I see nothing but great things in this young man's future. He had me first as a singer, soon thereafter as a performer and now as James DURBIN, singer, song writer, performer and artist. He continues to grow and push himself toward stardom and I am proud to be Right Behind him all the way.
