Santa Cruz's NextSpace CEO Explains His Booming Business Model

"Status in society has been defined by what organization you belong to, what your title is, what your office looks like. Today there are models that challenge those assumptions," Jeremy Neuner says in an interview with Lauren Hepler of SVBJ.

One of the co-founders of Santa Cruz-based NextSpace Inc., Jeremy Neuner, discusses employment evolutions and the merits of his company, which provides workspaces for freelancers and entrepreneurs, in a new article in the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

NextSpace, launched by two former Santa Cruz city employees, Neuner and Ryan Coonerty, now has 27 employees and nine "co-working" locations in California and Chicago where paying members share and use conference rooms, meeting spaces, and internet services.

The pair also co-wrote “The Rise of the Naked Economy,” on non-traditional employment.

In the SVBJ article, Neuner goes head-to-head on office environments with a top architectural designer of corporate campuses.

The story by Lauren Hepler can be found via the Silicon Valley Business Journal online.
