Beautiful photos of the Santa Cruz Classic Criterium Sunday

Nine bike aces took the same almost-mile loop that's been raced since 1970.

It was a 0.9-mile loop of Santa Cruz streets, the same route since 1970. The racers begin at Third Street on Main, go down Beach Hill, and toward downtown, then loop around Laurel Street extension by the river, then back up Beach Hill on Main.

Nine races were run, separated into age, gender and skill divisions, with the final race the men's pro division.
