Results: Will You Go to the New Warriors Arena?

After the with bringing the Golden State Warriors D-league affiliate team to the city, Santa Cruz Patch wanted to know if residents would actually come to events there or avoid it with a 100-foot pole.

The results are in and 76 percent of voters said that yes, they would attend at the arena. Of the 47 votes cast, 36 of them were in favor of coming to the facility.

Eight voters, representing 17 percent, said they would not be coming here, while three voters (6 percent) said they weren't sure yet.

Something great? I think not. It's time to put away children’s' toys and deal with the real adult world. We're heading toward a cliff, pedal to the metal, burning up the last of available fossil fuels, polluting the air and water, depleting biodiversity, killing thousands in sovereign countries thousands of miles away for domination of the last drops of oil, creating a filthy rich minority while others starve. And Santa Cruz wants to spend millions to put up a tent for a second rate basketball team? Pitiful.—Michael A. Lewis
