Hundreds of people show up to the Civic Auditorium for the first ever MMA event in Santa Cruz and local fighters shined in front of the home crowd.

Hundreds of people showed up to the Showdown in Surftown at the Civic Auditorium on Saturday night for the first ever MMA event in Santa Cruz. Several local fighters included Juan Ortiz from Watsonville, Dustin Moore, and Marco Del Real from Santa Cruz.
