UPDATE: Santa Cruz Warriors Arena Week 2

The old parking lot now has mounds of dirt on it. Countdown to Dec. 23 opening, 12 more weeks until Kaiser Permanente Arena is done.

Can you believe 3,000 people are going to be sitting here in 12 weeks for a basketball home opener? 

This one was shot from atop Beach Hill today.

Meanwhile, while you are waiting and pondering the round ball future, here's a good story in the Golden State Warriors magazine about the new building. It says the Santa Cruz team is already third in the league for tickets sold.
