The Santa Cruz Warriors have traded center Chris Daniels and a second-round pick for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers guard Scott Machado.
The 6-foot-2 Iona College product averaged 10.3 points and 6.1 assists in 18 games with the Vipers. He started the season off in a Huston Rockets uniform where he participated in six games. After being waived by the Rockets on Jan. 7 he was claimed by the Vipers, their D-League affiliate.
Chris Daniels only played three games with the Warriors before suffering an injury. The 7-foot center will fill a whole for the Vipers who have seen their front-line evaporate due to NBA Gatorade Call-ups.
