The Santa Cruz Warriors waived the 6'2" point guard Justin Johnson on Wednesday January 30th.
Johnson was picked up as a returning player from his time with the Dakota Wizards last season.
After surviving the four waves of cuts and making the roster at the end of training camp, he was a major part of the Warriors rotation early in the season.

With the signings of Darrington Hobson and Edwin Ubiles, and the return of Dan Nwaelele and Travis Leslie from injury, the Warriors roster was crowded at the guard position. Johnson was slowly fazed out of the rotation and was inactive in his last three games with the Warriors.
He averaged 17.8 minutes and 6.1 points this season. Both Johnson's minutes and points were down from last season.
