PHOTO GALLERY: Saturday's "Day on the Beach" at Cowell Beach
The 20th annual "Day on the Beach" event gave hundreds of disabled athletes a chance to get active in the water.
Shared Adventures celebrated 20 years of fun under the sun at Cowell Beach Saturday, for their annual “Day on the Beach” event.
The event gives over 250 people with disabilities a chance to do activities they normally couldn’t do in or on the water.
With more than enough volunteers to go around, participants were able to kayak, scuba, surf, and ride in an outrigger boat. There was even wheelchair access on the beach thanks to a temporary boardwalk that was built on the sand.
