Did you go out and enjoy the high or low tides on New Year's Day? Though "King Tide" technically means that the tide is at the highest point, the lowest tide also comes with it and is fun to explore.
The weather cooperated, and many people were out on the holiday enjoying our local beaches and the slice of paradise we have here on the central coast. There was even an amazing sunset to dazzle all of us beachcombers.
If you missed it, don't worry. At the end of this month, there will be another King Tide, as well as three more during the summer. I'm sure I will be reminding you about those too.
