The Warriors have decided to part ways with guard Arron Mollett and forward Harouna Mutombo waiving their contracts earlier today.
Mollet was drafted in this years draft in the 8th round with the 125th pick overall. Before being drafted by the Warriors, Mollet spent two years at Notre Dame de Namur University where he averaged 11.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while knocking in 72 3-pointers in his career. A native of Campbell, California, Mollet also made a stop at Gavilan College located in Gilroy, Califonia.
Mutombo was selected with the 115th pick overall in this years draft by the Idaho Stampede, but the Warriors made a deal for the forward. Harouna is the nephew of retired NBA great Dikembe Mutombo. Harouna played basketball at Western Carolina where he averaged just under 12 points and six rebounds per game.
The Santa Cruz Warriors have now moved to Oakland for the next two days of practice before they take off for their first preseason game of the season against the Tulsa 66ers.
