Cabrillo Journalism grad Alekz Londos, whose disaster videos been featured on CNN,  just returned from two weeks of volunteer work in the Philippines.

He took horrifying pictures of the devastation.

You can see them here.

His writing about the experience will be published on Patch.

Londos started as a journalist and his work was picked up in the Santa Cruz Sentinel, Patch and CNN. He went on to study emergency medicine, unhappy with just documenting the scenes he shot.

During Hurricane Gustav, he camped out in a New Orleans garage for three days. He was the only passenger on a plane flying into the city, while everyone else was evacuating.

His complete bio is here.
