Dewayne Dedmon on the move

Santa Cruz Warriors center on the move to join team in Oakland

Santa Cruz Warriors center Dewayne Dedmon has been signed by the Golden State Warriors after Jermaine O'Neal went down with a leg injury on Saturday against the Utah Jazz.

Dedmon confirmed via Twitter that he has arrived in Utah and will be suited up for the Golden State Warriors when they face the Jazz for the second time in three days.

Dedmon averaged 13.5 points and 11.5 rebounds for the Santa Cruz team in two preseason games.

This is the first call-up for the Golden State Warriors this season and also the first call-up under head coach Casey Hill of the Santa Cruz squad.

There is no telling how long Dedmon will be with the Oakland team as Jermaine O'Neal is listed as day-to-day with his injury.  This leaves a gaping hole at center for the Santa Cruz Warriors as the next tallest player on the team after the seven-foot tall Dedmon is Kevin Kotzur who stands at six feet, nine inches.

Congrats to Dewayne and best of luck to him in Utah tonight.
