Free Food, Free Gear, Free Bike Maintenance: Bike to Work Day Thursday

Ecology Action's Bike to Work day makes biking more fun.

Ecology Action has all kinds of treats for those who take to their bike seats Thursday.

The group has free breakfast at 16 shops and 45 schools between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. 

 Here are some highlights for the 15th Annual Fall Bike To Work on Thursday October 10th from its press release:

  • Free Breafast for cyclists at the following locations: Whole Foods Santa Cruz, Westside New Leaf, The Picnic Basket, Verve Coffee on 41st, The Ugly Mug in Soquel, Mollie’s Country Café in Scotts Valley, White Raven Café in Felton, Second Street Café in Watsonville and Fox Racing in Watsonville
  • Free Breakfast for student cyclists or walkers: At 45 schools across Santa Cruz County
  • Bike Gear Raffles: Fun bike gear prizes at school sites where students can win helmets, locks, lights, stickers and more for riding or walking to school
  • Free Bike Maintenance: Many bike shops in Santa Cruz will be stationed at some of our larger Bike To Work Day sites including Whole Foods Santa Cruz, Jamba Juice downtown, and Westside New Leaf to offer free tune-ups to cyclists
